Debate Team Auditions
The English Debating Society holds an audition each year to recruit new debate team members. We search for undiscovered talents and new blood each year, wanting more pasionate debaters to join our team.
Empire Mock Trial
Empire Mock Trial is an education nonprofit that offers academic extracurricular programs for high school students. Each program features four mock trials, during which students argue a case that is legally complex and socially relevant. Students get to connect with people across the globe and learn from one another!
Senior Inter-class Competition
Our school holds an annual Senior Inter-class Debate Competition to encourage students from all classes to engage in debate and public speaking. Each class from F.4-5 forms a team of 4 debaters to debate in multiple rounds against other classes. The Senior Inter-clsas Debate Competition finals is one of the most anticipated school events by students as the entire school witnesses the finals in the hall together!

For secondary, HKSS Debating aims to give students the necessary experience to be able to argue the pros and cons of current regional and international issues. Planning for and competing in debates along with taking part in HKSSDC workshops helps get students' confidence and skills up quickly.
HK Bar Association
The competition is organized by the Standing Committee on Young Barristers of The Hong Kong Bar Association. All motions focus on controversial socio-economic issues, enhancing debaters' critical thinking, knowledge and awareness on related topics.
